Library Borrowing Policy
- Check out is for ten school days
- Fines are 10 cents a day per book - fines may reach up to replacement cost per book or $10.00 per year
- Damaged or lost book fees will be the replacement cost of the book
- All fines owed must be cleared before checking out any books
- You may renew a book title once
- You may check out one book at a time
- You may place a hold on book titles
- You may request book titles to be purchased
Social Behavior Expectations
- Respect that other students deserve the opportunity to think, plan, study, and prepare work without distraction created by your personal noise and actions
- Keep your voice at a level so that you do not disturb others - no whistling, clicking, or tapping
- Individuals must have a pass from class and sign in each visit
- Students may need to sit where directed by library staff at desks or computers
- Beverages and food (including candy and snacks) are not to be brought into the library by students
- Hats are not to be worn in the building
- School cell phone policy is in effect
- No headphones and associated devices -- librarian permission needed for academic use
- Make good decisions when using electronic resources - Internet, printers, and copiers cannot be used to access and generate inappropriate content, as stipulated in the school district's electronic use agreement
- Do not share your student log on with others - maintain the integrity of your user access and account
- Do not check out books for others - maintain the integrity of your library account - pay fees owed
- Do not interfere with classes that are in the library
- Place books on the tables or carts - please do not reshelf books
- Backpacks are to be placed at the door - take what you will need with you
- Be considerate of the need to share library space and resources
- Do not hesitate to ask for assistance from the library staff when uncertain what to do
