Aztec Municipal School District Mission Statement
The mission of the Aztec Municipal School District, as an innovative partnership with our community, is to ensure that all students develop a strong educational foundation, demonstrate a commitment to learning, strengthen their moral character, and become responsible citizens through instructional programs that challenge and inspire excellence in a safe and caring environment.
Aztec High School Goals
A. Aztec High School continue to implement strategies to improve NMSBA scores
a.) Aztec High School will meet the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Annual Measurable Objective (AMO) by increasing the percentage of students scoring in the proficient or advanced categories on the 2010 NMSBA in Language Arts.
b.) Aztec High School will meet the NCLB AMO by increasing the percentage of students scoring in the proficient or advanced categories on the 2010 NMSBA in Math.
B. Aztec High School will increase Relationships, Rigor and Relevance on campus:
a.) All teachers will be provided training in the Rigor and Relevance Framework and will be required to implement instructional strategies learned in training sessions as measured by:
i. Peer observations
ii. Principal observations
iii. Student survey
iv. Classroom walk-throughs
v. Lesson Plan reviews
b.) All students will experience a personalized education as measured by:
i. Student Surveys
ii. Continuous improvement feedback tools
iii. Individual Academic Plans

c.) All staff will build healthy relationships with students, all other staff, parents and the community, as measured by:
